I have achieved the following academic awards and acknowledgements since I started lecturing at Stellenbosch University in 2013, which reflects the success I am currently having with the application of my current teaching philosophy:
2018: Voted favourite lecturer by students of the BAcc Honours Afrikaans group.
2017: Received an award for Excellence in Teaching from the Vice-rector in Learning and Teaching from the Stellenbosch University
2017: Voted best male lecturer in the BAcc Honours course by BAcc Honours students.
Voted favourite lecturer by Bachelors of Accounting students who attended the annual formal students’ ball
2016: Voted runner-up for best lecturer by Bachelors of Accounting students (Afrikaans class group)
2015: Voted best lecturer by Bachelors in Accounting students (Afrikaans class group) of the School of Accountancy – refer to photo of shield below
I was also voted one of the top ten lecturers in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences in 2015 in a competition sponsored by Die Burger.
